许多学生觉得英语单项选择题不好把握，其实原因是学生自己不太注意总结语言现象，对考点缺乏分析和比较，对语境中的限制项缺乏敏感的反应。要做好单项选择，笔者认为学生要注意以下几点： 　　 　　一、注意语境中的时间因素，把握不同时间的动作、状态之间的相互联系。这一点涉及时态、非谓语动词的形式、情态动词和动词连用的形式、情态动词和动词连用的形式、虚拟语气的结构等考点，考生应该充分关注题干中与时间相关的词语，准确把握时间关系。 　　 　　例如： 　　 　　i wonder why jenny _______ us recently. we should have heard from her by now. 　　 　　a. hasn't written b. doesn't write 　　 　　c. won't write d. hadn't written 　　 　　正确答案应选 a 项。副词 recently 常和现在完成时连用，本题还通过时间状语 by now 进一步确认和限定。 　　 　　二、注意语境中的暗示性因素，把握语境的交际意图。英语中有些表达形式和结构仅从字面上看往往使人不得要领，需要考生把握其本质才能领悟题干的交际目的。例如： 　　 　　he has never spent a more worrying day. 　　 　　意指目前的这一天是使他最优虑的一天，暗示性比较。 　　 　　he was always asking me for money. 　　 　　在英语中 be always /constantly doing 常带有&厌烦或赞赏&的语气。 　　 　　三、注意语境中文化背景因素，把握交际的合理性和得体性。近几年的高考英语单项选择题注重了语言的实用性和交际性，语境交际题明显增加。此类试题文化特征明显，如果不了解英美国家在这种特定语境中的文化，仅凭语法很难做出正确判断。例如： 　　 　　－ what about having a drink? 　　 　　－ _______. 　　 　　a. good idea. 　　 　　b. help yourself 　　 　　c. go ahead, please 　　 　　d. /me, too 　　 　　该题语境是熟人相见，邀请对方去喝一杯，对方同意。正确答案应选 a 项。部分学生误选 c 项，是因为忽视了答案 c 项是请求对方允许自己去干某事时，对方允许的答语。 　　 　　四、注意语境中句子结构因素，把握英语句式特点。分析近几年的高考试题，我们不难发现并列结构、祈使句结构、形式主（宾）语的结构、非谓语动词作状语、形容词比较结构、定语从句、倒装句等等是常见考点。在考查考生对基础知识的掌握的情况时，命题人常会通过改变句子结构的方式来增加试题难度。碰到这类题材时，要沉着冷静，仔细分析，以便选出正确的答案。例如： 　　 　　is this factory ______ you visited last friday? 　　 　　a. which b. where 　　 　　c. the one d. there 　　 　　分析这个句子可知：主语是 this factory ， is 是连系动词，空白处缺少的是表语，所以 c 项是正确答案（ the one 后面省略了关系代词 which 或 that ）。如果我们在 factory 前面加上定冠词 the ，答案则应选 a 项，因为此时 factory 成了句子的表语。 　　 　　以上只是笔者在教学中一点肤浅的体会。实际上单项选择题是一种多角度、全方位的考查学生的题型，它还涉及语法基础知识，涉及学生对语言现象的敏感性和感悟，涉及学生怎么综合运用各种分析方法等方面。总而言之，培养学生单项选择的技巧要注意培养学生的语境意识、考点意识、结构分析意识和选项比较意识。 　　 　　摘自 考试报 &
