<td class="t_msgfont" id="postmessage_9-10-29 13:45:29 来自: 香菇头 (上海)
人生苦短,seize the days.

I went to the woods because I wished
to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life,
and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I
came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live
what was not life, nor did I wish to practise
resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep
and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and
Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a
broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and
reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why
then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its
m or if it were sublime, to know it by
experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next
excursion. For most men, it appears to me, are in a strange
uncertainty about it, whether it is of the devil or of God, and
have somewhat hastily concluded that it is the chief end of man
here to "glorify God and enjoy him forever."
     Henry David Thoreau:Walden,or Life in
Lincoln.
     O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN!
O Captain! my Captain! our fearful
trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack,
the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear,
the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel,
     But O heart! heart!
  O the bleeding drops of
Where on the deck my Captain
  Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and
  Rise up&for you
the flag is flung&for you the bugle
  For you bouquets and ribbon'd
wreaths&for you the shores
a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass,
  Here Captain! dear
  The arm beneath your
It is some dream that on the
  You've fallen cold and
My Captain does not answer, his lips
are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he
has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound,
its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship
comes in with object won:
Exult O shores, and ring O
  But I with mournful
  Walk the deck my Captain
  Fallen cold and dead.
     ROBERT
     THE ROAD NOT TAKEN是他的名作之一,令人想到我国古代杨朱见歧路而哭的传说.
     THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
Two roads diverged in a yellow
And sorry I could not travel
  And be one traveler,long I
And looked down one as far as I
To where it bent in the
Then took the other,as just as
  And having perhaps the better
Because it was grassy and wanted
  Though as for that,the passing
Had worn them really about the
     And both that morning equally
In leaves no step had trodden
Oh,I kept the first for another
Yet knowing how way leads on to
I doubted if I should ever come
I shall be telling this with a
  Somewhere ages and ages
Two roads diverged in a yellow
wood,and I—
  I took the less traveled
And that has made all the
difference.
            Sonnet 18
     Shall I compare thee to a summer's
Thou art more lovely and more
temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds
And summer's lease hath all too short
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven
And often is his gold complexion
And every fair from fair sometime
  By chance, or nature's changing
course untrimmed:
But thy eternal summer shall not
Nor lose possession of that fair thou
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest
in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou
So long as men can breathe or eyes
So long lives this, and this gives
life to thee.
     William Shakespeare
     She Walks In Beauty
  She walks in beauty,like the
  Of cloudless climes and starry
And all that’s best of dark and
Meet in her aspect and her
  Thus mellow’d to that tender
  Which heaven to gaudy day
One shade the more, one ray the
  Had half impair’d the nameless
  Which waves in every raven
  Or softly lightens o’er he
  Where thoughts serenely sweet
  How pure,how dear their
dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that
  So soft,so calm,yet
The smiles thatv win,the tints that
But tell of days in goodness
A mind at peace with all
  A heart whose love is

  像星空和无云的夜晚;
  在她的脸上和眼里交叉;
  那种无名的优美;

Oh ,captain ,my captain!
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may/Old
time is still a-flying/And this same flowers that smiles
today/Tomorrow will be dying
CARPE DIEM
Becuase believe or not, each one of
us in this room is one day going to stop breathing, turn cold and
die. I'd like you to step forward of you and peruse some of the
faces from the past. They're not that different from you , are
they? Same haircuts.
Full of hormones. Just like you.
Invincible just like you fell. The world is their oyster. They
belive they're destined for great things, just like many of you,
their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it
was too late to make from their lives evenone iota of what they
were capable? Because, you see gentelman, these boys are now
fertilising daffodils.
But if you listen real close, you can
hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you
hear it ? Carpe...hear it?...Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day,
boys, make your lives extrordinary。
To fully understand poetry, we must
first be fluent with its meter, rhyme and figures of speech, then
ask two questions: 1) How artfully has the objective of the poem
been rendered and 2) How important is that objective?
We're not laying
Only in their dreams can men be truly
Learn to think for yourselves again.
No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the
We don't read and write poetry
because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members
of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And
medicine, law, business, engineering -- these are noble pursuits
and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love --
these are what we stay alive for。
The Dead Poets was dedicated to
"sucking the marrow out of life"。
We weren't a Greek organization. We
were Romantics. We didn't just read poetry, we let it drip from our
tongues like honey. Spirits soared, women swooned and gods were
I went to the woods because I wanted
to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the
marrow of life.To put to rout all that was not life, and not, when
I had come to die, discover that I had not lived。
(Alfred Lord Tennyson)Come my
friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world for my purpose
holds to sail beyond the sunset. And though we are not now that
strength which in old days Mo that which we
are,-- One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time
and fate, but strong in will. To strive, to seek, to find, and not
to yield。
Then I had religion, then I had a
vision. I could not turn from their revel in derision. Then I saw
the Congo creeping through the black, cutting through the forest
with a golden track。
   language was developed for one
endeavor, and that is?
   To communicate...No,to woo
we must constantly look at things in
a different way。
Just when you think you know
something, you have to look at it in another way. Even though it
may seem silly or wrong, you must try! Now, when you read, don't
just consider what the author thinks. Consider what you
Boys, you must strive to find your
own voice. Because the longer you wait to begin, the less likely
you are to find it at all。
Most men lead lives of quiet
desperation。(Thoreau)Don't be resigned to that.
Break out! Don't just walk off the edge like
lemmings。
For me, sport is actually a chance
for us to have other human beings push us to
Oh to struggle against great odds. To
meet enemies undaunted。
To be a sailor of the world, bound
for all ports。
Oh, I live to be the ruler of life,
not a slave。
To mount the scaffolds. To advance to
the muzzle of guns with perfect nonchalance。
To dance, clap hands, exalt, shout,
skip, roll on, float on。
Oh, to have life henceforth the poem
of new joys。
To indeed be a god!
I see a sweetness in her smile.
Blight light shines from her eyes. B
contentment is mine, Just knowing that... just knowing that she's
Sometimes the most beautiful poetry
can be about simple things. Just don't let your poems be
ordinary。
I sound my barbaric yawp over the
rooftops of the world。
I close my eyes. this image floats
beside me。
A sweaty-toothed madman with a stare
that pounds my brain。
His hands reach out and choke
他一直在念叨真理all the time he's
mumbling.Truth。
Truth is like, like a blanket that
always leaves your feet cold. You push it, stretch it, it'll never
be enough. You kick at it, beat it, it'll never cover any of us.
From the moment we enter crying to the moment we leave dying, it
will just cover your face as you wail and cry and
the difficulty in maintaining your
own beliefs in the face of others。
we all have a great need for
acceptance. But you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your
own, even though others may think them odd or unpopular, even
though the herd may go。
I want you to find your own walk
right now. Your own way of striding, pacing. Any direction.
Anything you want. Whether it's proud, whether it's silly,
anything. Gentlemen, the courtyard is yours。
You don't have to perform. Just make
it for yourself。
Swim against the
