Bonjour, tout le monde!从今天开始，我们来谈谈法语、文学和法国文化。一谈到学习外语，专家们就建议连同文化一起学习。其间的必要和好处，我想大家都听过看过不少。我是一名法语爱好者，不是专业法语生。在这里，谈论法语方面的有关知识，在众多法语高手和专业者面前，简直是班门弄斧。但是，出于对法语和法国文化的热爱，并曾选修过《法国文学简史》。加之平时看过《法语简史》和《法国简史》。所以，才开设了这样一个专栏（恐怖，我居然成专栏作家了。嘎嘎！）。学习讨论法语和法国文学，兼文化。文化是一个泛泛的概念，需要文学、历史、地理、政治、经济等各方面给予体现。所以，本专栏准备花20周（Vingts semaines）时间，每周讨论一个话题。主要资料来源有2处：一是湖南教育出版署出版的《法语与法国文化》；一是外研社出版的《法国文学简史》。故手头上有这2本参考书的同学、朋友，大可不必浏览本专栏内容，参加讨论就可以了。Ben！ 言归正传。今天，我们所要讨论的主题是：法兰西民族、语言和文化的形成（史前——8世纪）法国位于欧洲大路西部，境内土地肥沃，气候适宜，资源丰富。从远古时代起就有人类在这片土地上繁衍、生息，留下了许多遗迹和文物。古代的腓尼基人（les Phéniciens）、迦太基人（les Carthaginois）、希腊人（les Grecs）和罗马人（les Romains）都曾来这里活动。有些部落，如凯尔特人（les Celtes）、西哥特人（les Visgothes）、法兰克人（les Francs）、诺曼人（les Normands）等，与当地的居民一起，劳动生息，改造自然，创造处灿烂的法兰西文化，融合成勤劳勇敢的法兰西民族。为什么古代法国被人称之为高卢（la Gaule）呢？大约公元前8世纪左右，源于德国西南的凯尔特人经莱茵河进入法国，后又来到塞纳河和卢瓦尔河，于公元前5世纪抵达大西洋沿岸和法国南部，他们征服了西南部的伊比利亚人（les Ibères）、中央高原的阿奎丹人（les Aquitains）和东南部的利古利亚人（les Ligures），并与他们杂居融合。古罗马人把凯尔特人称为高卢人（les Gaulois），把高卢人居住的地方称为高卢。古代的法国成为高卢，就由此而来。这些凯尔特人在公元前6世纪的时候，还创造了被后人称之为拉登文化（la Têne Culture）的铁器时代。在罗马征服高卢之前，高卢约有60个小民族。被称为“邦”。法国现在有些城市就源于高卢时期，是以高卢当时的一些部落的名字命名的。例如巴黎（Paris）、亚眠（Amiens）、南特（Nantes）、普瓦提爱（Poitiers）、图尔（Tours）的名字就分别来自Parisii, Ambiani, Namnetes, Pictavi, Turones。从公元前约1000年起，高卢社会的阶级分化就逐渐明显。自由民由贵族、特洛依德僧侣（les Druides）和平民组成。特洛依德（le Druidisme）是高卢人的宗教（即古老的凯尔特人所尊奉的宗教。如果大家玩过暗黑这个游戏就应该知道），它在高路人的社会生活中起着重要的作用。公元前58年，罗马元老院派遣政治家和军事统帅恺撒（Julius César）率军远征高卢。（这个恺撒，就是那个野心勃勃，当上皇帝之后被暗杀的独裁者。能文能武。有一句很有名的句子，特别显示出其简明而有有力的文笔。那么，这句话是什么呢？）【问题1】恺撒在高卢征战近10年，“约100万人被杀，近100万人沦为奴隶。”从此，高卢纳入罗马的国家版图，沦为罗马的一个省，揭开了高卢历史新的一页——罗马时代。这是法国文化发展史上很重要的一个转折点。公元前44年，恺撒被共和派贵族暗杀身亡，他在政治上的继承人奥古斯（Auguste）都任国家元首。继续维护罗马奴隶主阶级的利益，保障罗马帝国各行省的奴隶制经济的发展。后来到了公元476年，西罗马帝国灭亡。在奴隶社会的废墟上，高卢地区由日耳曼任先后建立了西哥特王国、勃艮第王国和法兰克王国。（如果玩过帝国时代的朋友，应该不会陌生哦。）从此，法国开始了它的封建社会的历史。高卢人原来只信奉原始的特洛依德教。罗马吞并高卢后，慢慢的将基督教推广到各个地方。到了公元4世纪末，罗马政府命令关闭一切非基督教神庙，从此，基督教成为罗马帝国的国教。（其实，基督教原来也是收罗马帝国的排斥的。后来，由于基督教所推崇的奉献精神被罗马统治者利用。君士坦丁大帝(Constantin Ier le grand)于公元313年宣布自己为基督徒并颁布米兰赦令，由此承认基督教的合法地位。）在教会工作的人员被称为“教士”：missionaire（传教士）——pasteur（牧师）。即人民是“羊群”，羊群只能听从牧羊人的管制。刚才曾经提到罗马帝国是奴隶制社会，后来为什么会说是日耳曼人建立了封建制社会呢？回答这个问题之前，我们先来看看法国这片土地上所经历过的几次民族大融合。第一次：公元前1000年前，凯尔特人与当地人融合，形成前面所说的拉登铁器文化。语言是部落语言。第二次：高卢划入罗马板块。融合的过程当中，高卢人的原始文化与罗马奴隶文化互相吸引，逐渐出现了讲拉丁语的高卢—罗马人，最后拉丁语以其优势逐渐取代了高卢语。第三次：4至5世纪，西北欧的日耳曼人大举入侵，引起了高卢境内的又一次民族大融合。随着罗马帝国的瓦解，高卢地区出现了上面提到的3大王国。最有影响力的就是法兰克王国。最终由丕平（Pépin）家族中的查理•马特（Charles Martel），在墨洛温王朝（la dynastie mérovingienne）末期征服了其他一些王国。这个马特，有2个儿子。小儿由于个子矮小，有个绰号叫矮子丕平。他也有2个儿子，其中有个叫查理曼（Charlemagne Ier，768-814），其统治期间，历史学家称为查理曼帝国。查理曼这个人眼见卓越，不仅是一位置身于马背的军事统帅，而且还是一位封建地主阶级的政治家。下周要讲到的法国独有的武功歌（一种文学体裁），就有很多是称颂查理曼大帝的。在查理曼的治理下，社会获得进一步发展。民间语言使用的是一种通俗拉丁语。当然，在修道院里。修道士还学习古典希腊文(le grec classique)和古典拉丁文（le latin classique）。一般而言，这些是法国古代史。下面，我们来看看，高卢人们一起生活时所使用的语言——古法语（l’ancien fran&ais）是如何起源和发展起来的。前面提到过，凯尔特人成了高卢人，其使用的语言被人称之为高卢语，是一种古老的语言。后来，高卢并入罗马帝国。征服者带来的是高度发展的希腊罗马文化，大批罗马士兵、移民、商人、教士来到高卢，同时把他们的语言——拉丁语也带到了高卢。高路人虽然有自己的语言，社会也有一定的发展，但是当时的高卢文化还是比较落后，高卢人还没有比较完善的语言文字。因此，被拉丁文化同化了。后来，虽然日耳曼人入侵高卢地区，但是在文化方面被文明程度较高的高卢人同化了，他们接受了高卢居民使用的通俗拉丁语，当然，一些法拉克语(le francique)的成分也渗透到当中，经过几个世纪的发展变化，通俗拉丁语终于演变成一种新的语言，这就是古法语。我们说罗马帝国使用的是统一的语言——拉丁语。由于其疆域实在广泛，遍布西、北欧地区。后来，随着罗马帝国的瓦解。拉丁语，确切的说是通俗拉丁语（le latin vulgaire）或说大众拉丁语（le latin populaire），被当地的本土语言影响，朝着不同的方向发展，最后形成了罗曼语族（les langues romanes）的法语、意大利语、西班牙语、葡萄牙语和罗马尼亚语等语种。古法语的根当然是通俗拉丁语。但是，在其漫长的发展过程中，受到诸多语种的影响。首先是高卢语。词汇肯定是有高卢语的特征的。我们在学习法语的时候，对于法国人的70以上的数字，实在是不敢恭维。像小孩子一样加乘都来。这点，我们要怪罪高卢人。因为，以20为倍数的计算方式，就是来自高卢语。据专家考证，法语动词变位中，第一人称复数的词尾-ons也是来自高卢语。希腊语对古法语的影响也是非常大的。其实，古希腊文化高潮时期，古罗马帝国还未成气候。当时，由于希腊人只是在地中海沿岸地区同高卢人有接触。罗马帝国强盛之后并吞高卢之后，南部地区使用希腊语的情况就不复存在了。但是，原来拉丁语并没有冠词。这是效仿古希腊语的结果。日耳曼人，后来被称为法兰克人，他们的语言——法兰克语，也在古法语的形成当中起着一定的作用。有一点，我们应该记住。本来通俗拉丁语在西塞罗（Cicéron）就脱落了。由于法兰克人使用字母h，所以现在的法语单词中有h。还有那个w，也是法兰克语的杰作。原本，拉丁语是一种有词形屈折变化的语言（la langue flexionnelle），它靠词形的变化来表示词与词之间的关系。由于受到诸上各种语言的影响和自身的发展，古法语慢慢变成了分析性语言（la langue analytique），主要借助冠词、介词等工具词（或虚词）来表示词与词之间的关系。句子顺序非常重要。另外，拉丁语的名词、形容词和代词都有6个格（就是主格（le nominatif）、宾格（l’accusatif）、属格（le génitif）、呼格（le vocatif）、与格（le datif）、夺格（l’ablatif））的变化，加上复数就是12种。现代法语只剩下主宾两格。高卢地区的拉丁语经过几个世纪的演变，形成了两种有明显区别的语言，也就是南方的奥克语（la langue d’oc）和北方的奥依语（la langue d’oil）。法语就是在奥依语的基础上，特别是以巴黎为中心的法兰西岛（l’Ile de France）方言发展起来的。至于拉丁语是何时完成向古法语的演变呢？这个问题就给各位网友解决了。【问题2】
