West Coast Craft is a craft and design show featuring carefully selected designers, artists, and craftspeople inspired by the mood and aesthetics of the West Coast lifestyle.
Cool but sunny, laidback yet innovative, they represent the best of West Coast craft.
The next West Coast Craft will take place June 13 & 14, 2015, from 10am to 6pm in the Festival Pavilion at historic
on the San Francisco waterfront.

Arouse your scent palate as you smell aromatic essences and explore perfume design, composition and editing. Create your own paper bouquet from mouillettes
Spoon Carving with Melanie Abrantes
Hand carve your own wooden spoons using traditional Japanese tools and techniques. All tools will be provided to use during the workshop, with the option of purchasing the tools to continue your spoon making practice at home!
Paint and Ink from Living Colors with Judi Pettite
Create your own water based paint, and a water-soluble ink using natural materials as artist mediums. Attendees are encouraged to bring sketchbooks, favorite brushes, or paper and a camera to immediately begin making your world a bit more colorful.
Plant Patterns:Creating Surface Design with Flowers and Leaves with Deepa Natarajan
Learn how to transfer flowers onto cloth by pounding and applying mordants. You can build beautiful layers with natural dyes and pound nearly any plant pigment into silk and cotton to make gorgeous and living surface designs. Some pigments are ephemeral, others make lasting impressions.
Blending for Flavor:An Herbal Tea Tasting with Leaves & Flowers
Join Leaves and Flowers for an herbal tea tasting and conversation with the founders. Attendees will blend and sample infusions at different stages of formulation, and take home a box of herbal tea they've blended to enjoy.
Moving Towards a Non-Disposable Life:Furoshiki Wrapping with Ambatalia
This workshop will be a combination of sharing ways to shop with real textiles to avoid buying plastics and single use disposables.
Molly will share with you 10 different Ambatalia ways to tie, wrap and carry using 1 simple square cloth – also known as Furoshiki.
