How to Gear Up in Warlords of Draenor

Warlords of Draenor Questing (505-610)
Through questing and leveling up in Warlords of Draenor, your item level will reach 610 and can store your Siege of Orgrimmar gears away. Below are some factors to keep in mind besides the item level:
Trinkets from Siege of Orgrimmar have reduced effectiveness at level 91 and higher, such as .
All specs have an &attunement& spell that boosts a specific secondary stat by 5%. Several specs have stat boosts for new stats that are not plentiful on Siege of Orgrimmar gear, such as Holy Priests with . Consider picking up quest items with this stat.
While quest gear does not come with sockets or set bonuses, it has a small chance to be 10 or 20 item levels higher than the quest log displays.

Of course, you are't questing lover, you can&get gear upgrades while running some Normal dungeons below level 100 as well.
Proving Grounds (610)
Completing Proving Grounds Bronze rewards an ilvl 610 weapon.
Just complete
as Alliance or Proving Grounds as Horde by speaking to the general in your Garrison.
The mobs scale up to your gear as long as you have normal dungeon gear or better. For maximum effectiveness, you want gear at ilvl 615 or better, but slightly below will be acceptable for silver.
Tier set bonuses are not active, and neither are extra gem sockets or tertiary stats.
Stats from flasks, enchants, and food are not reduced. You get full amounts from these in Proving Grounds.
Warlords Dungeons (530-655)
There are three types of Warlords dungeons: Normal, Heroic, and Challenge Mode. You can run these dungeons the week of launch.
Dungeon loot rules have changed in Warlords of Draenor.
Previously, each boss had a set of uniquely-named loot. Now, multiple bosses can drop loot of the same name, but different bosses are assigned unique item level versions of the items. For example,

Another change is that loot tables for each boss appear much larger than before. Instead of a boss dropping a belt, there is a chance that a boss will drop one of five belts for a particular armor type. These belts vary in the types of secondary stat combos they have--the combos are set in advance and are not random.
Finally, Normal-mode dungeon gear has the chance to have a tertiary stat, and Heroic-mode dungeon gear has the chance to have a tertiary stat, Extra Socket, and/or be Warforged for a +6 item level boost.
Normal (530-615)

Heroic (630)
Gear from all heroic Warlords dungeons is ilvl 630, with a small chance for it to be Warforged ilvl 636 with an extra socket.
To queue for a heroic dungeon with friends, you must be level 100.
To solo queue for a heroic dungeon, you must complete Proving Grounds Silver and be level 100. Check out our role guides to familiarize yourself with your class.
You can see what heroic gear drops from a particular zone or boss by clicking on the &Drops& tab and then setting it to &Heroic& right below.
Challenge (640)
In Warlords of Draenor, players are rewarded for simply completing a Challenge Mode--attaining bronze, silver, or gold only rewards vanity perks.
Pick up the
Completing the instance rewards , which contains ilvl 640 gear. This gear is appropriate for your class/spec but has randomized secondary stats.
Apexis Crystal (630-655)
are used to purchase epic gear from Crystal Traders in capital cities. If you do the basic Apexis Crystal quest daily, you will earn 5600 per week.
The second tier of Apexis Crystal gear (645) requires Highmaul to be unlocked (December 2nd), and the third tier of &Apexis Crystal gear (655) requires Blackrock Foundry to be unlocked (in a few months).
The first tier of gear, &Crystal,& is ilvl 630 and requires 3000 for bracers and capes, 4000 for belts and hands, and 5000 for legs and helms.
The second tier of gear, &Exceptional,& is ilvl 645 and requires the ilvl 630 item plus 9000 for bracers and capes, 10500 for belts and hands, and 11500 for legs and helms.&
The highest tier of gear, &Flawless,& is ilvl 655 and requires the ilvl 645 item plus 14500 for bracers and capes, 17000 for belts and hands, and 20000 for legs and helms.&
The easiest way to get Apexis Crystal is to complete the daily quest from your Town Hall table.
Daily Level 100 quests to kill elites reward 800 Apexis Crystal, like .
Daily Level 100 group quests reward 1000 Apexis Crystal, like .
Daily Level 100 PvP quests reward 1000 Apexis Crystal, like .
Accessing these quests requires you to have a Level 2 or 3 Garrison. To get a Level 2 Garrison, you must be 92, and upgrading it takes200.
There are also more time-consuming and less reliable ways to get Apexis Crystal such as killing level 100 mobs or completing Garrison Work Orders for Medium, Large, and Special buildings.&
PvP gear is not as strong as it used to be for PvE.
PvP gear does not have a chance to be Warforged, come with an extra socket, or tertiary stats.
PvP gear is more powerful in PvP combat. Honor gear goes from 620 & 675 and Conquest gear goes from 660 & 690.
The PvP season will start on December 2nd, so you shouldn&t plan on grabbing epic Conquest items as &easy& gear boosts at the start of Warlords.
Several weeks into Warlords, Conquest gear may be decent gear in general, as it is ilvl 660 while Normal Highmaul loot is ilvl 655.
