Special Note: Below we list the legal requirements and questions for getting married. You will see that there are few hassles. Everything is recorded for you, and you can obtain records online if needed! A Las Vegas wedding is valid in all 50 states and around the world.
Marriage Process for the Bride and Groom

You both have to go in person to the Clark County Clerk's Office, Marriage Bureau, to apply for a marriage license.
The following URL will take you to the Clerk's site. Once there scroll down and click on Marriage Licenses where you will see a list of requirements for getting a license.
After you get the marriage license you have to go to a marriage official to have your wedding ceremony performed.
There are many marriage chapels in Las Vegas to choose from. All of the chapels offer "wedding packages" which are the different options you want included in your wedding (i.e. flowers, photographer, etc.) The cost of the wedding ceremony will depend upon the chapel and the "package" you select.
After your wedding ceremony has been performed, the marriage official has 10 calendar days to send the marriage certificate to the Recorder's Office to be recorded.
The marriage certificate is recorded in the evening on the day it is received. The following morning certified copies of the marriage certificate are available for purchase. The next URL will take you to a page explaining how to order and pay for certified copies of the marriage certificate.
Certified copies of marriage certificates are usually required to show proof of your marriage. They are used to change names on social security forms, insurance forms, immigration forms, driver's licenses, etc.
Foreign countries require certified copies of marriage certificates in order to register Las Vegas marriages in their country. Some foreign countries also require an Apostille in order to register the marriage. The following URL will explain about Apostilles:
