1.何謂無鹵(Halogen Free)?
無鹵(Halogen Free)是指產品不得含有特定的含鹵素物質，而非禁止所有含鹵素的物質。Halogen Free的目的主要是限制含溴(Br)的阻燃劑與聚氯乙烯(PVC)，但考慮盤查不易，多數國際電子大廠則藉由限制氯(Cl)及含溴(Br)的含量，達到淘汰含溴(Br)阻燃劑與聚氯乙烯(PVC)的目標。而含氟(F※)與含碘(I)的物質則無限制。
※歐盟於法令有限制全氟辛烷磺酸Perfluorooctane sulfonates

2.無鹵(Halogen Free)是依據哪一個國際法令?
目前若有直接限制氯(Cl)及溴(Br)含量的規範，皆為國際電子大廠(Apple,Dell…)對供應商的要求，尚未有任何國家法令直接限制氯(Cl)及溴(Br)的含量，國家法令僅限制部分含氯(Cl)及含溴(Br)的有害物質。如：
．歐盟RoHS指令限制多溴聯苯(PBBs)及多溴聯苯醚(PBDEs)
．歐盟REACH指令限制短鏈氯化石蠟(C10-C13)
