近日，世界知识产权组织（WIPO）在其官方网站上公布了2015年世界知识产权日的主题——“Get up, stand up. For music”，同时发布了宣传海报。
根据WIPO对今年主题的英文描述，《Get Up, Stand Up》这首歌是牙买加歌和他的哭泣者乐队创作并演唱的一首歌曲，收录在《Burnin’》专辑中。这首歌曲简单直白，因此引起了持久的共鸣，成为全世界为权利奋战者的圣歌。
关于该主题的说明写道：“这就是音乐的力量。从最古老的节奏出现，到演化为世界通行的表达方式，音乐不断感动着我们。即便我们并没有在听，音乐也总在我们的脑海中演奏着，它是人类思想的原声曲。”?“今天令我们陶醉并享受的音乐，来自世界上万千创作者的灵感与辛勤工作——歌手与唱作人、演奏家与出版人、制作人、编曲人、工程师。我们与音乐的关系在未来会怎样？它会如何创造与传播？我们将以何种方式聆听？还有，如何确保这些为我们带来无比愉悦的艺术家们能够依靠他们的天分而生活？请与我们一起关注今天的音乐工业，倾听那些在音乐行业亲力亲为的人们，如何看待音乐的未来。无论你的口味是韩国流行乐、Hip-Hop还是贝多芬晚期弦乐四重奏，都请加入这一场交流。Get up, stand up，为了你的音乐。”
设立世界知识产权日的提案是由中国和阿尔及利亚在2000年10月召开的世界知识产权组织第三十五届大会上提出并获得通过的。自2001年起，每年的4月26日是世界知识产权日。设立该主题日的目的是增强各界尊重知识、崇尚科学、保护知识产权的意识，营造鼓励知识创新和保护知识产权的法律环境。每年WIPO都会确定一个主题，各成员国会围绕当年主题，在世界知识产权日期间举办各种宣传活动，以达到设立该主题日的目的。
2015年世界知识产权日主题发布的消息公布后，在知识产权业内引起了广泛关注与讨论。记者发现，由于WIPO官方还没有公布今年主题的中文表述，有的业内人士就自己搞起了翻译，例如浙江泽大律师事务所乔万里律师翻译的是：“觉醒、雄起，捍卫音乐！”按照惯例，中文主题会有官方版本对外公布，让我们拭目以待。
