Xiamen Airline Online Check-in Service Agreement
The Xiamen Airline Online Check-in Service Agreement applies to passengers who purchase E-tickets on Xiamen Airlines& domestic flights.
& Xiamen Airlines reserves the right to suspend the online check-in service under special circumstances such as flight delay, etc.
& Currently the online check-in service is unavailable for the following passengers:
1. Passengers requiring special services
1.1 VIP passengers
1.2 Children. & Passengers aged 12 years old or younger
1.3 Pregnant women
1.4 Diseased and disabled passengers
1.5 Infants
1.6 Senior passengers
1.7 Overweight passengers
1.8 Criminal suspects (including inmates) and their escorts
1.9 Passengers requiring medical clearance
2. Passengers who reserve seats with teaching certificates, student ID cards or veterans certif
3. Passengers with international flight tickets
4. Passengers having E-tickets without definite flight number and seat number (i.e. open tickets)
5. Passengers with paper tickets
& If you don&t have any check-in baggage, please arrive at the airport no later than 45 minutes before the published departure time of the flight. The boarding gate will be closed 15 minutes prior to the takeoff of the flight.
& For the safety of yourself and other passengers, please do not check items not allowed to be carried, such as knives, tools, alcoholic drinks (each passenger is allowed to carry no more than two bottles not exceeding 1 kg). Valuables, travel documents, fragile, explosive, corrosive items and other dangerous items are not allowed to be carried in the baggage.
& Baggage with the dimensions exceeding 20cm*40cm*55cm or the weight exceeding 5 kg must be checked. Online check-in service excludes baggage check-in. If you have baggage to be checked in, please make sure you arrive at the airport 45 minutes before the takeoff of the flight to check the baggage at the designated counter.
&& Passengers should strictly follow the regulations of governmental authorities on the valid ID documents required for boarding civil aviation flights and ensure the legitimacy and validity of their ID documents. Any consequence arising from name mismatching or invalid ID documents shall be borne by the passengers.&
&& Due to changes to the airport operation schedule, the boarding gates for partial flights may be temporarily changed. After arriving at the airport, please timely check the updated information on the boarding gate for your flight.
&& In case of temporary change of aircraft type, we will rearrange a seat for you.
&& If you have checked in online but wish to cancel your flight plan due to special reasons, you shall cancel your check-in operation before the deadline for local online check-in service. You shall contact the local online check-in service supplier provided by Xiamen Airlines no later than 60 minutes before the takeoff of the flight to cancel your check- otherwise you shall assume the liability for missing the flight.
& Regulations for the carriage of pregnant women
1.Except for those who are diagnosed by doctors to be unsuitable for carriage, women who are no more than 32 weeks pregnant may be carried as regular passengers.
2.Women who are more than 32 weeks pregnant shall provide a certificate of diagnosis signed by the doctor of the healthcare provider and must check in at the counter designated by Xiamen A
3.Women who are more than 36 weeks pregnant are generally prohibited from carriage.
& Regulations for the carriage of diseased and disabled passengers:Diseased and disabled passengers must check in at the counter designated by Xiamen Airlines.

1.4 Seniors who are physically healthy but require assistance from others during the air trip.
1.5 Diseased and disabled passengers shall submit the &Certificate of Diagnosis& issued by the healthcare provider for examination, complete the &Special Passenger Carriage Request& in quintuplicate and are verified to meet the carriage criteria in order to be accepted for check-in. A passenger requiring medical oxygen also should bring a medical clearance signed by a qualified doctor indicating that it&s medically necessary for the passenger to use such device and specifying the required maximum oxygen demand and maximum oxygen flow rate per hour at the pressure and latitude corresponding to the pressure inside the cabin under normal flight conditions.
& In accordance with the provisions in Article 101 of the Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China, &The consigning of dangerous goods for shipment under the name of non-dangerous goods is prohibited. Passengers carrying dangerous goods on their persons are prohibited from flying in a civil aircraft. Passengers bringing firearms&or controlled knives are prohibited from flying in a civil aircraft unless they are performing official duties and approved in accordance with State regulations. The consigning of dangerous goods as baggage for shipment against the provisions stipulated by the competent civil&aviation authority under the State Council is prohibited.& Any person who conceals and brings dangerous goods aboard while flying in a civil aircraft, shall be investigated for his or her criminal responsibility under the provisions of Criminal Law in case consequences result from such act.
a. The following dangerous goods shall not be included in passengers& checked baggage or carry-on baggage:
1) Explosives, including ammunition, blasting supplies and fireworks (excluding small arms ammunition used for sporting events and previously authorized by the carriers);
2) Gases, including hydrogen, oxygen, butane and other bottled compressed gases
3) Flammable liquids, such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, benzene, ethanol (alcohol),
4) Flammable solids, substances prone to spontaneous combustion and substances releasing flammable gas when wet, such as matches, flashlight powder, solid alcohol, celluloid, and ot yellow or white phosphorous, nitrocellulose (including film), oilpaper and its products, and other articles prone to sp metallic sodium, potassium, calcium carbide (acetylide), Mg-Al powder, and other articles releasing fl
5) Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides, including sodium dioxide, potassium peroxide, lead peroxide, acetyl hydro peroxide, and other inorganic
6) Toxic and infectious substances, including cyanide, highly toxic pesticides, and
7) Radioactive materials, such as radioisotopes, and other r
8) Corrosives, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, liquid storage batteries, sodium hydroxide and
9) Other articles hazarding flight safety as specified in ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, such as strong magnetic material possibly interfering the normal working of aircraft instruments and substances with s
10) Other articles that are not permitted to be carried or transported as stipulated by Chinese laws and regulations.
b. Transportation provisions for lithium batteries in passengers' baggage:
For lithium batteries with no more than 2 grams of lithium content and lithium-ion batteries with no more than 100 Watt Hours of rated power, the reasonable number of batteries that would be needed by the device if used during flight shall constitute a standard to measure the number of spa for large lithium-ion batteries with 100~160 Watt Hours of rated power, approved by the air carriers, the number of spare batteries carried by each passenger shall not exceed 2 pieces. Devices containing lithium batteries can be placed in checked baggage or carry- spare lithium batteries can be placed in carry-on baggage only.
& Operating Conditions for Lithium Batteries in Passengers& Baggage
All passengers& electronic devices for personal use (such as watches, calculators, cameras, mobile phones, laptop computers, camcorders, etc.) and spare batteries, including lithium batteries, may be placed in baggage and taken onto the aircraft.
Note: Lithium batteries include lithium-ion batteries (a lithium polymer battery is one kind of lithium-ion battery) and lithium batteries (a lithium alloy battery is one kind of lithium battery).
2) Content restrictions
The following requirements on the lithium content and rated power shall be satisfied by all spare batteries or batteries in all devices transported as baggage:
a) The lithium content of one lithium or lithium alloy battery shall be not more than 2
b) The rated power of lithium-ion batteries shall be not more than 100 Watt H
c) Approved by the air carriers, the rated power of large lithium-ion batteries may be more than 100 Watt Hours but shall not exceed 160 Watt Hours.
3) Protection measures
a) Necessary protection measures shall be taken for each spare battery to prevent short circuits, including placing spare batteries in the original retail packaging or insulating the electrodes, by protecting the exposed electrodes with adhesive tape or placing each battery into individual plastic bags or protective bags.
b) Devices with batteries shall be designed to prevent accidental activation.
4) Number of spare batteries
a) For lithium batteries with no more than 2 grams of lithium content and lithium-ion batteries with no more than 100 Watt Hours of rated power, the number of batteries that is reasonably needed by the device during the flight shall constitute a standard to measure the number of spa
b) For large lithium-ion batteries with 100~160 Watt Hours of rated power, approved by the air carriers, the number of spare batteries carried by each passenger shall not exceed 2 pieces.
5) Types of baggage
Devices containing lithium batteries can be placed in checked baggage or carry- spare lithium batteries can be placed in carry-on baggage only. The specific requirements are as follows:

A Japanese groom and their relatives can not catch up with the wedding held in China due to flight delay. recently the groom filed a lawsuit to the Japan Airlines and Air China , eventually reached a settlement that the two companies paid a total of 300,000 yen.
It is reported that the Japanese man intended to go to China to attend wedding with his company executive's daughter. He scheduled to take Air China flights starting from Japan's Kansai Airport, the Beijing airport and ultimately to the Xi'an airport. Departure flights were delayed about 2 hours, the man got response from air side " could catch up" and continued to ride the original flight. but after arriving in Beijing, found that Xi'an flights have already started. Finally, this man and friends failed to catch the wedding.
The man said, if the airlines made correct description, he was to aboard other flights to get there on time or noticed to postpone the wedding. Man filed a lawsuit to the Osaka District Court for Japan Airlines and China international airlines paying for the tickets, a total of 1.5 million yen (about 7.8 million yuan) in compensation. Finally the two companies paid a total of 300,000 yen to reach a settlement. The day of reconciliation in December 12th last year. Japan Airlines paid 10000 yen, and the remaining part was paid by Air China.
