It is exciting to visit different places. As you travel, you will see beautiful sceneries typical of the region. Besides, you can meet and make friends with people of different colors and races. Finally, you can get to know the customs and living habits of the local people. Today people are so fond of travelling that tourism has become one of the faster growing industries in most countries.
The main reason why people travel is, perhaps, for pleasure. For example, having worked hard throughout the weekdays, people will find a widened trip to the nearby mountains or beaches a real relaxation. For another example, spending an annual holiday travelling abroad is an especially satisfying experience for those who do not have much of an opportunity to be away from their homelands. When people return from their travel, they will generally feel fresh and energetic, ready to work harder.
Travelling is also one of the best means for learning. You may have read or heard about something but you can never get an accurate picture of it until you see it for yourself. Seeing is believing. Furthermore, if you are a careful observer, you can learn much during your travel about the geography, biology, and history of the places you visit. No matter how well educated you are, there is always a lot for you to learn through travelling. 英语作文常见的文体有以下四种：说明文（Expositive composition）、议论文（Argumentative composition）、叙述文（Narrative composition）、描写文(Descriptive composition)。但在一篇文章中通常可交叉使用不同的文体。如叙述中有描写，描写中有叙述，议论中有说明等。有时很难分清一篇文章的体裁。
1。说明文（Expositive composition）：
说明文用于对事物的性质、特征、形态、原理、使用方法、操作技术、发展过程等进行解释说明。以便使读者对该事物有较明晰、较完整的了解和认识。
2.议论文（Argumentative composition）：
议论文用来发表个人意见，阐述道理，分析问题，辨明事理，以使读者信服某些思想、观点是正确的或错误的。
3.叙述文（Narrative composition）：
叙述文按一定的时间顺序来叙述一件事或申述一种情况，以便使读者对事情发生的时间、地点、原因、结果等有透彻的了解。如：A Hot Summer Sunday/Boating in the Park/An Unhappy Experience/ The Night Before Examination/ etc.
4.描写文(Descriptive composition)：
描写文用以对人物、地方、事件及其所依存的环境进行生动现象的描绘和刻画，其目的是借助现象传递信息，以便使读者产生深刻印象。如：My Generous Father/ Our College/ Four Seasons/ The Great Wall/ etc.
（二）文章的评价标准
1．内容统一
所谓内容统一，指文中的辅助细节和辅助观点与文章主题的一致性。文章中不能出现与主题无关或不一致的内容。一篇完整的文章应由三部分组成：主题句（Topic Sentence）、辅助细节（Supporting Details）和结束句(Closing Sentence)。
2．细节充实
一篇文章的主题能否圆满得以体现，在很大程度上取决于辅助细节是否充实。没有充实的辅助细节，文章会显的空洞乏味，缺乏说服力。
3． 组织得当
文中的句子不能随意排列，不然会显得杂乱无章。应遵循一般的布局，以一定的方式和规则合理进行安排，以使整段文章结构严谨，脉络清晰，前后连贯，自然流畅。不能东一榔头东一榔头西一棒子，生拼硬凑。
4． 语言规范
遵循常规写作的语言修辞、句法结构、标点符号以及缩写、移行、大小写等规则。这是一篇文章的基本要求。在做到语言规范的同时，应尽可能地展现自己的语言修养，以句子类型多样化体现文章的个性化。
（三）应考策略：
1．切勿盲目动笔，明确题目要求：不要简单机械地罗列表中内容，考生可根据自己的亲身经历适当增加细节。只有这样才能切中题意。总之，考生在动笔前首先应注意避免书面表达中的“三忌”：忌文不对题；忌行文不统一；忌言不得体。
2．认真审题，先确定表中须陈述的全部信息。通过读表中的信息，我们应该梳理出以下几点：一是题目要求。二是认真理解信息；三是巧妙的融合信息点，且勿堆积。四是尽量比题中所述更加丰富，但文中所列的内容必须重点描写，否则就是“跑题”。
3．初步构思。不要扯得太远，下笔千言，离题万里。
4．安排语篇的逻辑次序。力争做到文理通顺、语言流畅，句与句之间的衔接过渡要自然，层次要分明，内容要连贯，符合逻辑。
5．起草语篇，打好底稿。注意文章的文体、笔调。尽量用较丰富的词汇和语法结构叙述减负前后的对比。但也应注意避免另一种现象，即：过分追求语言的华丽而忽略了内容的表达。对一般考生来说，恐怕还是应避免使用冗长、繁杂且易出错的句子。写百十来个词的短文，应把重点放在哪？考生须认真斟酌。注意笔墨的分配，惜墨如金。
6．认真修改。力避只言片语、支离破碎；看有无前言不搭后语的现象；看重点是否突出；看要点是否遗漏；看通篇的时态是否合理；看人称代词的格、数等是否有误；看紧要处关联词语是否准确；看细微处的冠词、介词等是否合语法。一定要避免简单错误的出现。
7．完成全篇。抄写时注意字迹工整、书写规范，用易辨认，不乱涂乱改。卷面一定要使人赏心悦目。
(四)书面表达高分技巧：
以前高考书面表达评分主要是根据要点和语言准确程度而定，因此考生在书面表达时，也只注重不遗漏要点和正确使用语言知识两个方面，很少考虑或根本不考虑“使用较复杂结构或较高词汇”，导致最后写出来的东西千篇一律，缺乏活力，影响了自己的成绩。那么，考生怎样才能在书面表达中避免语句表达单一化，写出好的句子来呢？结合新的评分标准，对学生书面表达提出一些写作建议，帮助大家写出丰富多彩的句子出来，提高自己的书面表达能力。
1注意功能替代。适当地使用词组、固定短语来代替一些单词，以增加文采，丰富语句的表现力。
2回避重复频率。尽量避免过多重复使用一个单词，应选择使用其同义词或近义词来代替。
3注重多样化。注意使用不同句式结构、不同长度的句子，尽量使句式多样化，长短交错，切勿单调。主从复合句来代替简单句，用倒装句代替正常语序句，可使书面表达行文更加丰富多彩
4单句开头要精彩。句子开头方式，切勿都是主语开头，接着是谓语、宾语，状语。切勿一种句型。比如状语前置句子的开头，否定副词前置形成倒装或插入语开头。使整个句子读起来有点跌宕起伏，增加书面表达的表现力。
5联结要流畅。合并将意义相关的几个句子，用联结词连接起来，或通过紧缩，去掉一些多余的成分，避免冗长累赘、松散无力，以增强句子的连贯性，达到更好的表达效果。
6承接过渡要自然。连接成分起着承上启下的作用，是语义关系过渡的桥梁。有效地使用语句间的连接成分，可使全文结构紧凑，层次清楚，过渡自然。
7文章要有靓点。在整篇文章众多的主谓宾句子结构中，可适当地打破常规，用一些倒装句、强调句或感叹句，为意思的表达增添一点新意。
最后注意：恰到好处，把握度；虚实得当，人不累。
